Sri Sarada Math Rasik Bhita’s new initiative – Project ‘Vivek Drishti’, employability training for visually impaired girls was officially launched at Rasik Bhita’s Dumdum Park premises on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024 in collaboration with mjunction services Pvt. Ltd. and Enable India (a Bengaluru based NGO promoting economic independence and dignity of persons with disabilities). This pilot project includes a 6 months training (8 x 6 hours per week) of 15 visually impaired girls involving Assistive Technology which will be provided by a registered trainer from Enable India. CSR support for the project will be provided by mjunction services Pvt. Ltd.
Pravrajika Dhyanaprana Mataji (Asst. General Secretary of Sri Sarada Math), Mr. Moses Gorrepati (Executive Director of Enable India) and Mr. Aninda Chatterjee (CEO and Vice President-Finance, mjunction Ltd.) jointly inaugurated project ‘Vivek Drishti’ by lighting lamps. Sri Sarada Math Rasik Bhita signed two MoUs with mjunction and Enable India in the presence of sannyasinis from Sri Sarada Math Rasik Bhita and RKSM Vivekananda Vidyabhavan College, Dr. Homiyar Mobedji (a Disability Expert who heads Bookshare services of Benetech Asia-Africa), Ms. Piya Nandi (CSR Lead, mjunction), Ms. Jincy Soy (Associate Director of Enable India), Ms. Nilanjana Dasgupta (Director of Child Rights and Trafficking, Govt. of West Bengal), other eminent guests and the visually impaired trainees.
